The Challenge

We have a solid team of Sales Associates who communicate with thousands of leads to engage them with our services. This team assists our clients through multiple channels and their efforts have been recently divided in inbound sales and outbound sales. As our business grows and as we are geared to achieve ambitious plans for the following years, we need to set up and formalize the strategy for the entire sales team, along with its operational structure, goals and appropriate techniques so that it can be ready for scale.

The Role

We are looking for a senior sales professional with a track record in setting up, managing and growing a multi-channel sales team. Specifically, the person in this position will manage a team of around 10 people in the US and will supervise a smaller BPO sales team abroad. In doing this, the person will assess and enhance all current operational procedures and add any missing ones in order to achieve consistency and scalability. This person will manage all aspects that drive sales productivity, including planning, reporting, quota setting/management, sales process, technology/tools, training, compensation design and recruiting and is responsible for the effectiveness of the sales function.

This person will define all relevant metrics to track and will continuously assess team performance using those and prepare reports/presentations for senior management. In addition, the person in this role will devise and implement initiatives aimed at increasing conversion rates across all of our interactions with customers and will model out how to continuously adapt our sales approach to a global audience in the most cost-efficient way. We are seeking someone with the passion, skills and drive to bring fresh ideas and a dedication to growing the business. In addition to coaching and motivating the sales team, the right candidate should lead by example by showing how to get things done. This position reports into the SVP of Operations and is based in our office in Manhattan.

Skills & Requirements

  • BS/BA required.
  • 6+ years of successful sales leadership/management experience.
  • Proven experience managing multi-channel environments, with a focus on telephone sales.
  • Proven experience managing successful sales teams to above quota performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor sales professionals.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Self-started with solid leadership skills.
  • Experience managing remote teams in different geographies a plus.
  • Experience with system implementations a plus.
